Biographies

Ruth Wilson

Ruth has written since she was a young child; but first wrote in hope of publication in 1980 when she was in her forties, writing under the pen name of Ruth Janaway.

Articles and short stories soon appeared in, among others, The Sunday Post, The Countryman, The Daily Mail and Titbits.

Ruth then specialised in writing novellas (40,000 to 45,000 words), sixteen of which were published by D.C. Thomson of Dundee. Several of these were translated for publication in the Italian market. One novella The Burning Plain was published in hardback in the United States.

She has achieved many successes in the internal competitions run by the Nottingham Writers’ Club, participation in which she firmly believes, provides excellent experience and training for writers of all interests and abilities.
