1st September - Christopher Walker

Christopher will be giving a talk on writing scripts for TV so if you've ever wanted to know how it's done, come to the Nottingham Mechanics on Wednesday 1st September.

 

6th October - Ian Collinson

Ian Collinson

Ian Collinson has lived in Nottingham most of his life, has written articles and book reviews for magazines, and in 2008 wrote his first novel, a romantic comedy entitled, "I Love Samuel Taylor".

He also writes and performs poetry and won the Nottingham Poetry Society Performance Poetry competition in 2008. In 2009 he launched his own publishing company, Weathervane Press, which is a Nottingham based contemporary literary fiction publisher with an East Midlands focus.

He will also be introducing two new writers from his publishing list and talking about regional publishing.

 

Visitors are welcome at all of our speaker meetings for which there is a charge of £1.50.
