Our November second Saturday meeting is competition time.
Last year we revived our annual Verse of the Year, and Manuscript of the Year competitions. While only NWC members can enter, we welcome visitors to join in judging the winner.
This year’s theme is ‘Lost’ and it’s clear there will be a number of interpretations for this word.
We’re starting at our usual 12.30 pm to allow time for lunch and chat, before we begin the competition.
Prose writers have 250 words excluding the title and their pseudonym -it’s fun guessing who wrote which story. And for the verse it’s up to 20 lines excluding the title and pseudonym.
Attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite Verse, and/or Prose entry. We’ll count out the votes and announce the top three in reverse order, for each category, and discover who penned them.
Members near and far, have had since mid- September to think about, and write their entry/entries.
