David Stocks
David’s first groundbreaking book, ‘The Celtic Holy Grail Quest’, is an autobiographical journey in search of his personal Holy Grail. A quest he undertook to recover from a mental breakdown.
David stumbled upon the legend quite by chance when researching Celtic Mythology and therefore considered himself, an accidental knight seeking an end to mental torment. In the writing of this book he hopes to aid those who also suffer from mental illnesses and guide others along the path to inner peace and the Holy Grail.
David has also recently completed a book of poetry entitled “Take the Mental out of Mental Health” which is soon to be published. It is poetry from the heart, a call to stop the stigma associated with Mental Health.
He is currently writing two further books, “A year in the Black Country”, a hilarious and also deeply moving tale of a year spent in the Black Country region. The second book is an adventure story for young people (and I suspect some adults) which he is writing for his nieces. Both are nearing completion and will be published soon.
